Chickenpox and monkeypox are two different diseases, the causative agents are different - they are two different viruses. Chickenpox is mainly spread by airborne droplets, while monkeypox can only be transmitted from person to person through prolonged and close contact. The main symptoms of monkeypox are unusual purulent rashes that start on the face and spread over the whole body in a short period of time. Compared to chickenpox, the rash is deeper and more voluminous in monkeypox.

Monkeypox is a very rare zoonotic viral disease, which means that it is transmitted to humans mainly from animals. It can enter the human body through damaged skin, respiratory tract, eyes, nose and mouth. This disease can be transmitted from person to person only during long-term and close contact.
